basicly, Greyhound fucked me badly and now I lost abunch of shit. Though some of the stuff didn't quite suffice my needs, so new stuff might be a good thing infact.... though I'm still very pissed they took my violin, I probably can't replace that... I've not had a chance to try filing a baggage claim, but I'm not having high hopes for this... anyways, what I would like is
-backpack; durable, high capacity (both volume and weight), disperses weight throughout the body in an effective mannor (not just to the shoulders or chest) (1)
-tent; as compact as a tent accomidating a person whos 5`8`` can be. compactness important esp. when collapased. tents in minor need of repair excepted. not sure yet if tent should go inside of backpack, if not it needs to have shoulder straps or another way of carrying it without occuping my hands.... I can probably modify the bag if it doesn't suffice my needs, so don't worry too much about the bag. (1)
-shoulder straps for sleeping bag; should be long allowing sleeping bag to hang around my ass, below the backpack. Padded shoulder prefable, broad shoulder needed (rifel/shotgun slings should work well) (2)
-another shoulder strap for my violin, if I manage to get it back (mother fucking Greyhound); broad shoulder needed. (rifel/shotgun slings should work well) (1)
-anything to wrap either my violin in; or my violin case in, to keep my violin from getting too cold, or just from changing tempertures too fast... thin small dimension warm towels for violin, small dimension thick towels or blankets for case.... once again, only if I get it back...
-blankets; warm and not overly thick... should wrap around 5`8`` person and go from shoulder to toe, as a minimum (60x36), larger is prefable (up to 72x60) (2-5).
-socks; long enough to go above the top cut of my boots (9``, 11 eyelett). knee length prefable, much longer prefable to alittle shorter. all denisitys helpful, though for the immediate future, only heavy winter socks are needed (I don't have snow boots, I use thick warm socks with my regualar boots instead, so I need warm socks for the sake of my toes.)... don't absorb water (aka, not cotton) is highly prefable!... my feet are size 8 men. (no set limit, 2 of each densisty should do well, though I have no real idea on how to define these "densistys" in words, or even how many catagorys of denisity there should be)
-pan (as in pot's and pans); either with insulated handle, or a thick oven mit
-bike; (local trade only; ... sorta... if I have to go north to get to you, no; if I have to go south to get to you, I'll think about it. Otherwise, Ann Arbor-Detroit-Toledo area), mountain bike, in good condition... should have racks, bins or "wire shelfs" (this probably isn't the right name, but they look sorta like bbq grils (the grill part, not the whole thing), but usally are alot shinnyer) (1, duh)
what I can give in return:
-software (PC games)
-CD's(punk, goth, other)
-hardware (PII or III (I've not looked at that computer very much recently) 833 Mhz, 10Gb HD, 128Mb ram, Sound Blaster, forget what the video card is (but I remember that's good!))
-motorcycle; 589 cc 198x Honda XL600 R, in need of being reassembled, not street legal (no turn signals, no gauges)... one of the bolts for the engine housing is de-capitated... local trade only, I can't move the bike... you need to supply truck/van and another person for lifting (300 lbs apx, 3 people to lift)
thankyou.
